Shaitu is a street dog at Sherpa Chowk and we had her spayed some time ago. We took her to AMC on 6 June 2023 as she was clearly unwell. She was diagnosed with Trypanosoma – sleeping sickness. Treatment is possible with weekly injections for four weeks, but a relapse can occur. The treatment was successful, and she was returned to the street where she has people to watch her.
