Lady was brought into the centre by a faithful, longterm volunteer, Lydia, in March 2013, as a miserable pup – red all over, without much fur. She was treated in the shelter for severe demodectic mange for a prolonged period. Once Lady was healthy, spayed and vaccinated, we considered putting her back into the community where she had been found. But as she came from far away, was so young, and had been in the shelter for several months, we felt she would not fare well on the streets. Lady is a gentle, timid dog, who often recedes from the more boisterous dogs. She likes affection, although she is wary of new people. Lady would make an excellent home dog. She would blossom in a caring family home. She is now sponsored by Doug from Australia.
