Katu arrived on 15 February 2024 from KAT Centre with two damaged legs. On 9th March, Dr Sushil was preparing to carry out surgery on the front leg when it was noticed that he had distemper signs. A test was done immediately and he was distemper positive – so sadly, poor Katu was euthanised as it was thought that he probably couldn’t survive the distemper infection.
