One day in 2016, Kate noticed a miserable, severely malnourished, male dog, standing at the end of the track leading to the house. He was also suffering from demodectic mange. Kate was unable to take him in for a few days but he remained waiting. He was a young, black dog of about 2-3 years with a collar – evidently an owned dog abandoned. He was cared for in the shelter. Eventually, after two courses of anti-mange medication, his fur regrew. But as a previously owned dog, he could not be put out on the streets. He is now a happy, lovable, easy-going, steady, affectionate boy, who gets on well with his fellow dogs. He would make a lovely home dog.
