On 24th of April 2022, Jimmy was found by a few, young, dedicated people (Vishnu, Manju and Nabila) with a rubber band wrapped tightly around his muzzle, painfully infected and with the skin starting to grow over.
A shy and scared dog, we managed to catch him and take him to our local vet, where he was tranquilized and the band was able to be removed. Thankfully his blood tests came back okay and he is now finally able to open his mouth to eat and drink properly. We are very saddened to see abuse like this, and are very thankful to those who spot these cases and report them to us. No dog should suffer at the hands of people like this.
We suspect he was previously an owned dog, who’d turned up in the area about a month ago. With the help of biscuits and gentle affection, he has warmed up to us and will enthusiastically greet you at the door. Today he has been out socialising with the other dogs and engaging with his surroundings – it’s wonderful to see!! Jimmy was being sponsored by Nabila from Afghanistan/USA and was being fostered by Serena. Sadly, he has died.
