Tom was brought to the centre from the Boudha area by Rishab and friend on 7 April 2019 suffering from a spinal injury and with little control of his hind legs. One back foot was upside down and was dragging on the ground and rubbed raw with the bones showing. Oddly enough, he had indications of having been vaccinated against rabies – but apparently, no one had treated the foot. This has healed remarkably well over the past few weeks, but we need to take care as the foot can’t be turned the right way up. He may need a protective shoe. Tom died on 21 January 2024.
