Pemba was dumped anonymously at the shelter as a relatively healthy young puppy 3 years ago. He has spent all of his life at the centre, except for a brief period in 2014 when he was adopted by a local family. Another failed adoption, he was abandoned shortly thereafter to find his own way back to the centre. For some time after he returned, he was wary and furtive but has now settled back in with the other dogs. Pemba is an upstanding black dog with white markings. On daily walks, he has been known to catch the odd chicken!
