Lady

Lady was brought into the centre by a faithful, longterm volunteer, Lydia, in March 2013, as a miserable pup – red all over, without much fur. She was treated in the shelter for severe demodectic mange for a prolonged period. Once Lady was healthy, spayed and vaccinated, we considered putting her back into the community where she had been found. But as she came from far away, was so young, and had been in the shelter for several months, we felt she would not fare well on the streets. Lady is a gentle, timid dog, who often recedes from the more boisterous dogs. She likes affection, although she is wary of new people. Lady would make an excellent home dog. She would blossom in a caring family home. She is now sponsored by Doug from Australia.

Lay is a very smiley and friendly dog!
LADY came in as a small emaciated pup looking really sad. She became a beautiful dog, her appearance resembling that of an Australian Shepherd. When meeting new people, she first hangs back and seems very timid, but after a little while she is all in your face asking for attention. She has a beautiful coat, but sometimes she is not very ladylike in maintaining it clean… Lady already has a sponsor, but would love a forever home. She is a young medium sized dog of around 15kg.
